Mahalo to our loyal vendors and patrons that continue to support The Maku`u Farmers Market during this pandemic. We have been diligently keeping up with the news and covid-19 reports along with safety guidelines to help prevent the spread of covid-19. That being said we have decided to open the market to our community and surrounding community members for essential shopping only. Maku`u Farmers Market will open in phases, with modified times, as well as stricter rules to protect staff, vendors, and consumers. Please read below before heading to the market.
Starting: May 24, 2020
New Market Hours: 7am-12pm
Only vendors selling: Produce, Food, Honey, Desserts, spices & face masks
EBT/SNAP services: available from 7am-11:45am.
Mandatory Guidelines that must be followed upon arriving and departure:
Masks or face shields must be worn at all times.
Essential shopping only. Patrons will be asked to leave if they are seen socializing.
Apply social distancing at 6ft apart.
If you are ill please stay home.
Customers will limit their time at the market by shopping and going home.
Always be informed and use common sense precautions in order to remain safe and healthy.
Things to consider:
Bathroom will be closed due to renovations & safety.
We will be operating at a lower capacity than usual to aide in crowd control.
Only our permanent essential vendors will be available. See list below
